Lorraine Kelly has addressed the poisoning of her canine, expressing worry after the incident on Tuesday.

The ITV presenter shared that it was touch-and-go as she urgently took her pet canine, Ruby, to the vet after the canine consumed sweets through the night time.

 Chocolate incorporates theobromine, a chemical dangerous to canines.

Lorraine, 64, mentioned the incident on her present on Wednesday, mentioned: ‘I had some sweets wrapped up in a bag as a gift. It was in my purse. She [Ruby] managed to get in there in the midst of the night time.

‘She ate an entire little bit of chocolate and was very, very unwell certainly.’

Sharing an image of Ruby wanting poorly on the vet, she added: ‘We needed to rush her to an emergency room. They needed to put her on a drip. It was contact and go and it was actually, actually horrifying.’

Sending a message to ITV viewers, Lorraine warned: ‘Presently of yr you have to be so, so cautious. You have to watch out all year-round as properly as a result of chocolate’s actually dangerous.’

Lorraine confirmed to followers that Ruby is doing ‘wonderful now’ and is again at residence resting.
