An airport safety officer from the Philippines’ Workplace of Transportation Safety (OTS) is below investigation for allegedly stealing $300 from a passenger by reportedly swallowing the money.
The incident occurred at Ninoy Aquino Worldwide Airport Terminal 1, prompting authorities to scrutinise the case.
In response to studies, the feminine safety officer was chargeable for manually inspecting the passenger’s bag whereas the traveller proceeded by an X-ray scanner. In a press release, the OTS emphasised that the incident doesn’t align with the “code of conduct for civil servants, rather more of the core values.” OTS Administrator Undersecretary Ma. O Aplasca inspired people to report any unlawful actions involving OTS personnel.
Following the preliminary theft report on the safety screening level, safety measures, akin to eradicating jackets and looking out pockets of safety officers’ uniforms, have been carried out.
